These days were very sad for my country Bosnia and Hercegovina. We buried, as every year, new victims of genocide in Srebrenica whose bodies were found or completed last year . This is always very hard part of the year, for all BiH people where ever they are…especially if they survived war too.

It is very hard to concentrate on anything or to feel your energy coming up to do something special. So you have to rely on your secret procedures which make you to feel happy, when nothing else is in.

I think that everybody has to have his secret little things which make him happy. For women this is always shopping and I am not an exception. But sometimes you need something, where there are no other people and something only for you to enjoy…Everybody has his own thing! And if not, everybody should try to find one or two…

For me enjoying in flowers is one of them. I loved to pick them up with my friends  when I was very small, when we spent all day out and brought flowers wet of sweat from our little hands, home to our moms. My mum would always put them in a small cup on the window and even if they looked somehow done already when I brought them, she kept them there for days, out of gratitude. That made me feel very proud.

Growing up I always loved flowers. Was happy if I have got some and got especially relaxed when I got some for my self. Usually this was going to the market or to the flower shop and picking out  few pieces  on my own, rather than buying those pre-made bouquets… Even supermarkets have in their offer quite cheap little bunches  of roses or lilies which can make my day…

Here in Austria are living very trusty people. They have everywhere fields of flowers, where you can go in on your own and pick your own flowers. On the entrance  there is a little cashier where you contientsly     put your money (there is a price determined per piece) for the pieces you have picked…I love this possibility of choice, this calmness on those fields and that feeling of trust in the air. No matter how I feel this can make my day happier.

This is what I and my new flower picking friend Christian did a few days ago. As these days anybody was writing about sad things, I got an idea to share my little procedure for making myself happy with you, rather then more sad stories. It is useful in everyday life, when you are sad or when you simply need that something to give you that happy vibe. You can do this  for your better half, your friend, member of your family…

Do this for yourself! This is your time! Time which you take for yourself and the nice feeling which will follow every time you enter the room and see your new colourful friends….at least for a few days…

Did you try it? You have any flower market in your vicinity or fields of wild flowers?

Dear ladies, do not wait that a prince on a white horse is buying you flowers, get it on your own! For men- what makes your wife happy it will make you happy too 🙂

Happy picking!
