Making homemade granola is so simple you should never agree to buy any kind of cornflakes from supermarket, which are usually loaded with sugar and preservatives.

My basis are always oats – to them I add different kind of nuts, seeds and maybe dried fruits. For sugar usually I use honey but maple or dates syrup tastes great too. For fat part I use coconut fat.

The rest is simple-just use your imagination – add what you have at home for dry parts. On coconut oil and honey you decide based on your taste – the mass has to appear wet and there should not be dried parts. If you like it more sweet add more honey and less coconut oil, if you like it less sweet do things other way around.

Bake on low temperature until is golden brown (be careful as it can get burned quite fast). After it cooles down put it in a jar but also feel free to add any kind of dried fruits, chocolate chips or coconut flakes. All according to your taste.

For this particular recipe I used:

2 cups oats

1/2 cups hazelnuts

1/2 cups cashew nuts

1/4 cup chia seeds

1/4 cup flax seed

2 tbsp  coconut oil

2 tbsp honey
