How to have New Year and Christmas holidays without holiday nails. Even if you are more sofa kind of person for the evening, holiday nails are more then appropriate also for  day time. For sure, holiday nails cal for red, golden and glitter.

Being sick more then ten days makeup is out of question although I have planned some really cool tutorials. Still, not in my hands…But doing some nails was not so hard especially as I was determined to try on quite affordable drugstore holiday editions. Three years after becoming mum it is realistic for me to have long nails again so nail art brings again more fun.

I came up with these 3 nail polishes, all around 3 EUR as my favourite for holidays.

Manhattan has overall 5 colors in their holidays collection. I liked these two best. One is classical red with a twist – it dries mat but still keeps little glitter particles which all together makes beautiful finish. Second one is diffused golden shade, which has more satin like finish and it adds that holiday feeling. Both very easy to apply, brush is small but dense so with one wipe you can finish the whole nail. They are very pigmented so you do not need more then one layer.

The third one is  Maybelline – in their holiday collection they have a safe bet – glitter nail polish with huge, broken foil like particles. It is very beautiful but you have to be careful to apply thin layers if you want to have more particles one. I applied just one layer and it looks amazing.

I combined them in these two combinations. Did not try to be very precise as I did it in my bed 🙂 but you get the picture how they look like I guess. These three colors are something you can wear all year, red and golden being all times classics and glitter being day time trend for at least two seasons more.
